The Best Views In The City

New York City has the most recognizable skyline in the world, but what is the best way to see this infamous sight? Well, you have some amazing options!

Whether you’re a romantic who loves Sleepless in Seattle or an action movie junkie who grew up watching King Kong, the Empire State Building is sure to be at the top of your list – as it should be. Whether it’s your first time or your tenth, early morning, sunset or midnight, it’s sure to be a beautiful sight.

The views from the observation decks give an exquisite 360 view of the city. It is open every day from 8am to 2am, making it the perfect kid-friendly, nighttime activity if your days are packed.

The most recent observation deck that has been added to the Manhattan landscape is, of course, One World Trade Center. From here, you get to see New York from downtown, all the way up. On a clear day, the view is absolutely breathtaking. Not to mention the incredible elevator ride up that gives you a unique perspective on the New York skyline through the years.

The views of Brooklyn from the Freedom Tower are unlike anywhere else. Seeing the bridges that carry thousands of commuters in and out of Manhattan is truly a beautiful sight from this vantage point.

If you want more variety skyline shots, then hop on a ferry and catch all of the views from the Hudson and East Rivers! If you hop-on the cruise at Pier 78, you’ll cruise right past the Empire State Building and around to the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges for close-up views of Midtown.

When the cruise heads out to the Statue of Liberty, it’s important to turn around and watch the city. This is the perfect opportunity to see downtown Manhattan in all of its grandeur!

Many people vote the Top of The Rock Observatory as the best view in all of the New York City. Why? Because you have the perfect view of the Empire State Building! It also has a three-tiered observation deck, which makes you appreciate the view at the very top even more. This is also a great evening activity to bring kids to because it is open until 12am.

Seeing the lights of the city illuminated at night is definitely worth keeping the kids up for. Although seeing the views during the day also has perks. It isn’t until you reach the top of the Rockefeller Center that you will truly realize how enormous Central Park is.
