Things To Do In The Flatiron District!

The Flatiron District is a must visit while in NYC! From the iconic Flatiron Building to amazing food, there’s much to experience!

Flatiron Building

While in the Flatiron District, it’s pretty hard not to miss the Flatiron Building! It’s known for its unique triangular shape, which cannot be seen anywhere else in NYC! It was built in 1902 by architect Daniel Burnham. Currently, the building serves not only as a National Landmark, but as an office space. In the front, there is a free art space which visitors can see.

Madison Square Park

Another popular location in the Flatiron District is Madison Square Park! With its beautiful art and relaxing atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to rest your feet during a lunch break. On display now is the beautiful forty-foot high art piece by Martin Puryear called, Big Bling.

You can also take a nice walk with your dog, or bring your kids to play! The park holds many events to attend including concerts for kids, culinary events and more! There are an endless amount of things you can do in Madison Square Park!

Shopping

There are a vast amount of places to shop at, from clothing to specialty stores. Well-known stores in the district include H&M, J Crew, Ann Taylor and Coach. You can even entertain your kids by taking them to the LEGO Store! Are you a fan of music? Then visit the specialty store Academy Records! They have an amazing selection of music from Mozart to Jazz!

Eateries

There’s a variety of food to choose from in the Flatiron District from fast-food to upscale. You can get a classic burger and shake at Shake Shack in Madison Square Park or enjoy Italian classics at the indoor piazza, Eataly. Eataly is not only a great place for lunch, but you can purchase items to bring home!

If you want a unique and upscale eating experience, Eleven Madison Park is the place to go! Each day there is a new menu, making each experience one of a kind. The courses are flexible, so you can try a variety of plates. Menu options range from Escargot Eggs Benedict to Baked Alaska.
