Now’s The Time To See A Broadway Show!

Now is the best time to see a Broadway Show! With many shows currently on Broadway, seeing a show should be on you’re to do list while in NYC! From the romance of An American in Paris to The Four Seasons in Jersey Boys, there’s a show for every taste!

Watching a show is an unforgettable and memorable experience you should experience for yourself! Here are our reasons why the time to see Broadway is now!

The Celebrities

Broadway is hot with celebrities in both plays and musicals. Something Rotten sure has the “Will Power” with Will Chase (Nashville) playing William Shakespeare. The Broadway classic Cats has returned to Broadway with the role of Grizabella being played by three-time Grammy Award nominee Leona Lewis. Jenna Ushkowitz aka Tina Cohen-Chang from Glee, has now joined the cast of Waitress as Dawn. Starting in September, a High School Musical favorite Corbin Bleu will star in the brand new musical, Holiday Inn.

Seeing a Broadway show isn’t just for date night, it’s a great way to create an experience with your family! You can’t go wrong with seeing Disney’s Aladdin or The Lion King! They truly bring these classic Disney stories to life! Is your child more of a rocker? Then the School of Rock is the perfect show! You can also enjoy some eggcellent entertainment from the time of Shakespeare with Something Rotten.

Broadway Classic’s are On!

You can’t go wrong with seeing a Broadway classic! Learn about tradition in Fiddler on the Roof which is in its fifth Broadway revival!

Fun Fact: The lyricist of Fiddler on the Roof Sheldon Harnick received the Tony Award this year for Lifetime Achievement in Theatre!

The Broadway classic Cats, has recently returned to Broadway! With Leona Lewis and the great cast, this musical is truly a Bucket List show to see! You also of course cannot leave NYC without seeing the longest running musical on Broadway, The Phantom of the Opera!

Hot Ticket Shows

There are a few shows on Broadway which are a Must-See! Everyone knows Hamilton, created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, is the ‘IT’ show of the season! Getting a ticket though is the obstacle. Here’s our tip to getting your hands on a Hamilton ticket: Try entering the digital lottery during your visit!

The Book of Mormon has been a hit show ever since it say “Hello” to Broadway in  2011! With the great cast, hilarious numbers and originality of the show, who can resist! It’s one of those rare shows that you just can’t stop laughing!

Wicked is the show all NYC visitors want to see! It’s a different take on the traditional Wizard of Oz story following the friendship of Elphaba and Glinda. This show really defies gravity!
